8/31/2020 - iPad Loaner Program reopened for fall term

Dear Fall Instructors,

Over the summer, we informed undergraduates and graduate students of a new solicitation for the iPad loaner program for Fall 2020. The solicitation ended on August 15 and about 150 units were requested.

Some instructors have recently contacted us to say that students in their classes will need an iPad to complete coursework. To accommodate this need, the Provost has agreed to reopen the iPad loaner program for an extended term in order to ensure that Caltech students have the technology they need to do their work, to collaborate, and to succeed.

If you are a Fall instructor and your students will need iPads for your class, please notify them immediately, and include the information below in your email so that students will know how to request the loaner iPad.

Due to some COVID-related supply problems, it is important that students receive and act on this information as soon as possible, since it might take several weeks to get the equipment.
